Celebrate the 4th with a three-course BBQ dinner for $35 per person. Chef Kevin Gillespie will roast a whole hog using his personal Terminus City barbecue recipe. For an additional $5, enjoy all-you-can-drink 420 and Georgia brown Sweetwater beer. No regular menu offered that night. All proceeds from beer sales will be donated to Save the hooch. Save the hoochs mission is to advocate and secure the protection and stewardship of the Chattahoochee River, its tributaries and watershed, in order to restore and preserve their ecological health for the people, fish and wildlife that depend on the River system. Tour and Taste of Cheshire Bridge - July 21-23rd
1st Tour of Cheshire Bridge July 21-23rd, 2009 Cheshire Bridge will be celebrating their eclectic business mix with their variety of ethnic restaurants, specialty stores, salons, antique markets, and unique store concepts (all the WHOLESOME businesses) to bring the community a fun 3-day event with trolleys going up and down Cheshire Bridge Road for a little tour of this one-of-a-kind street. Between 6PM-10PM Tues. Wed. Thurs., July 21st- 23rd, all participating restaurants will have a little tasting and appetizer, discounted prices and specials, all retail and specialty stores will have a raffle or silent auction. Tickets are $10 for one evening: $20 for all 3 evenings. The King of white wines. Nope, not that one, the other one. What? No, not that one either. Never mind. Sheesh! I’m talking about Riesling. There is no other white wine grape that can produce the vibrant acidity and fresh fruit flavors complimented by luxurious texture and complex minerality that Riesling does. We’ll taste through the spectrum starting with some dry Rieslings and making our way through some fruity wines and finishing with some sweet pucker. We’ll probably stick to Germany. $15 per person.
